The Gold Star Alpaca HERD HEALTH MANAGEMENT CLASS is designed to make Herd Health more of a pleasant interaction with your alpacas, and less of a stressful burden.

We will work with you and your herd to improve the process and flow of your “Herd Health Day” -- weighing your alpacas, trimming their toenails, and giving them shots.

Standing calmly while you catch and halter them –not a wrestling match!

Safely and sanely – not a dancing alpaca on a string!

Be manageable when you need to address their health needs!

What does a Herd Health Management Class cost?

Three alpacas = $350
(Right, that’s $350 for the whole class of 3, not per alpaca.)

Herd Health Management Graduates earn a Herd Health Hero Certificate at the end of class. This can be very reassuring for new alpaca owners, and can be transferred with the animal upon sale.

And, BIGGER CLASSES COST LESS PER HEAD!

A larger class size makes the “per animal” pricing get better:

Four = $450 Five = $550 Six = $650
(add $100 each for the 4th, 5th and 6th alpaca)

Seven = $740 Eight = $830 Nine = $920
(add $90 each for the 7th, 8th, and 9th alpaca)

Then there’s the Ten-Pac Special!
Ten GOLD STAR Alpacas = $1000

Tuition for Herd Health Management classes is payable one-half at the first lesson and the remaining balance at graduation.

It takes about five lessons to accomplish the GOLD STAR HERD HEALTH class objective – Alpacas that can Halter, Lead and Handle Herd Health – SAFELY AND SANELY. It may take fewer lessons if your alpacas are really smart, it may take more if they need additional tutoring. Lessons continue until they all graduate!
