MARTY MCGEE BENNETT - CAMELIDYNAMICS SEMINAR IN VIRGINIA
Over Easter weekend, Gold Star Alpacas attended the 2-day Marty McGee Bennett "THE BASICS" clinic. The clinic was hosted by Marion Bruffy, owner of Free State Llamas in Amissville, Virginia.
The CameliDynamics catch rope system in a small pen makes the halter training process a "snap"!

Success with the catch rope - that's one mellow llama!
So let's have a look at that halter... looks okay to me!
And on the halter goes. No fuss, no muss.
Let's fine-tune the fit on this noseband just a bit...
IMPORTANT NOTE! A camelid's eye is well protected by their large strong bone eye socket, so proximity to the eye is not a major concern here. It is far more crucial to the safety and comfort of your camelid to have the crown piece of the halter adjusted so that the nose band stays securely on the solid portion of the nose bone.

Graduation! With congratulations from Marty herself.
My 2-Day Basics Clinic Certificate and my copy of The Camelid Companion - both signed by Marty McGee Bennett - the author of the book and the Founder of CameliDynamics.

In September of 2006, Gold Star Alpacas completed the CameliDynamics 4-day “Advanced Clinic” in Bend, Oregon, and earned the CameliDynamics "Camelid Handler" seal.

An awesome time was had by all, and lots of learning took place! The CameliDynamics Learning Center is a wonderful setting for absorbing the CameliDynamics approach, not to mention enjoying the beauty of the High Mountain Desert that is Central Oregon.

A whole herd of students!
